Louis Smith Gymnast Fashion Labels Hope
OLYMPIC gymnast Louis Smith wants to launch a fashion line.
"I have a lot of clothes in my head that I'd like to wear, but that I don't see out there; so I'm really interested about trying to get into fashion and perhaps starting my own range," he said.
He isn't the only British Olympian with design aspirations - Jessica Ennis revealed her hopes to collaborate
with a fashion brand in December 2012. Smith, who won reality dance show Strictly Come Dancing last month, says that the secret to looking dapper is a good suit.
"You've got to look fresh in a suit, you've got to be able to busy it out," he said in a London College of Fashion film promoting next week's London Collections: Men showcase. "Skinnies are also key, as are nice ties - you need a good selection. In Peterborough, where I'm from, I get some funny looks for the things I decide to wear, but in London anything goes."
